We were lucky enough to spend an entire week around Colombia. This time we only visited Bogota and Barranquilla, but we can't wait to go back and visit all the different cities like Cartagena, Medellin, Cali, etc!
@andrewtowers asked me through Instagram to share with all of you the places I visited and ate during my stay in Colombia. So here they are! (I need to thank my friend Mauren who told me where to go and what to eat #MuTips)
Club Colombia - we went for lunch but they say it's amazing for brunch! We ordered the delicious empanadas, natural juices and ajiaco, the typical Colombian dish which is a soup with chicken, potato, corn, capers, cream, and a bunch of other stuff, delicious!!!!
Canasto Picnic - everybody recommended me to go to this place and I'm so glad I did! The place is so cute –so me! The menu, well, we wanted to order absolutely everything but we had to pick something! I ate the best French Toasts I've ever tried. Adam ordered an Arepa with a fried egg on top that was way too good! We ordered natural juices and everything for $11! Very good and very cheap :)
Arte Pasion y Cafe – this place is in the historic district, right by the plaza Bolivar. It's like a barista place here they teach students how to make the best coffee. The best part is that you get to choose the design you'd like the barista to make on your coffee. I chose a rabbit and Adam, the lion of course! Delicious coffee, the best one.
Sant Just Traiteur – this is a hidden gem in the middle of the historic district. It is a gourmet French restaurant that blew our minds with every dish. I had a goat cheese salad, the best one I've had, Adam had the lamb and even though I don't eat lamb, I ate half of his plate! For dessert, we had a green tea and coffee creme brulee, I need to go back!!!!
Cacio & Pepe – this Italian restaurant is a must! It is not only delicious but my friend designed the image for this restaurant so it is beautiful! We ate an amazing salmon carpaccio, delicious truffle pasta and pizza. I'm dreaming about the day I go back to this place.
Di Lucca – another Italian restaurant that you have to go! It was so good we ate twice here. Whatever you order you'll love <3
Next stop is Panama!
